About the BookThis unique policing text/reader provides instructors and students with the best of both worlds-a text with carefully selected accompanying readings. Policing: A Text/Reader is intended as an alternative to a standard policing textbook for an upper-level undergraduate course in policing, but can also serve as a supplemental reader to provide greater depth than the standard textbook. It may also be used as a reader for a graduate course in policing, as it serves as an introduction to the literature on policing, a sourcebook for further readings, as well as a springboard for extended class discussion. First-time UsersMany of the materials on the instructor site, are only available to Faculty and Administrative Staff at Higher Education Institutions who have been approved to request Review Copies by SAGE.
