Question 15: What happens after questionnaire design?

1

I design my questionnaire using mainly open questions. That is I ask the respondents to write a paragraph of comments about their clinical visit. The advantage of this is I am giving flexibility and getting how the person really feels as they can respond with what ever they want. This is helpful for me to see the range of responses. What should I do now?

a)
b)
c)
d)
e)
f)
Please select an answerYes we should do a pilot study but it would be better to work out who is eligible for the evaluation and get a sample of them - so work out our sampling frameYes, we should work out our sampling frame and then pilot it on people recruited from this sampling frameNo. We should pilot it firstYes, getting friends to look at it is a good first step then we need to send it to a small pilot sample of possible respondents to try it outNo, it is possible to do a questionnaire with open questions, but the analysis is a bit harderI think we should have got a book before this stage. I have already designed my questionnaire so should have got the book before doing the design
